Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 1, 2026

In short: Migo is built for young children. We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers. The App stores a child's profile and progress locally on the device, and we use Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and content delivery. Optional parent sign-in uses Sign in with Apple and Firebase Authentication.

1. Who We Are

Migo Language Playground ("Migo", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that helps young children learn languages through interactive games. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Migo app (the "App").

2. Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Migo is designed for children under 13 and is intended to be set up by a parent or legal guardian. We comply with:

3. Information We Collect

3a. Information We Do Not Collect for Advertising or Cross-App Tracking

We do not use the App to collect any of the following for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes:

3b. Device-Local Data

The App stores learning progress, settings, and preferences locally on the device. This can include a child's first name, selected gender, selected languages, puzzle preferences, game scores, and parental controls such as a parental PIN. Based on the current version of the App, this data is stored locally on the device and is not synced to our servers as part of the child experience.

3c. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the App is used, measure feature usage, and diagnose crashes and technical issues. Analytics events may include app interactions such as which screen was opened, which category or language was selected, puzzle difficulty, gameplay outcomes, and onboarding completion steps. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not use these services to track children across third-party apps or websites.

3d. Parent Account Information

If a parent chooses to use optional Sign in with Apple, we process parent account information through Apple and Firebase Authentication. This may include a Firebase user ID and the parent's Apple-provided email address.

3e. Contact Form

If a parent contacts us through our support page, we collect the information they voluntarily provide (name, email, message). This information is used only to respond to the inquiry and is never associated with a child's activity.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not display advertisements. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App:

6. Data Retention

Device-local data persists until it is deleted from the device or the App is uninstalled. Parent sign-in data is retained according to Apple and Firebase Authentication account settings and deletion workflows. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve the inquiry. Analytics and crash reporting data are retained according to Firebase's retention settings.

7. Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we handle. Device-local data is protected by the device's built-in security features. Data handled by our service providers is subject to their security controls and policies.

9. International Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
